Frequently Asked Questions
I haven't done a Connective Parenting NVR course yet. Can I still join?
Absolutely. While many of our members are NVR-trained, we welcome any professional who believes in a connection-based approach. It’s a great way to ‘dip your toes’ into the methodology.
What if I can't make the live monthly calls?
No problem! We know your schedule is unpredictable. Most of our sessions are recorded and uploaded to the member area so you can catch up whenever you have a gap in your diary.
Is this only for UK-based professionals?
While we are based in the UK, the principles of connection and the challenges of supporting families are universal. We welcome practitioners from all over the globe.
How does the membership work?
Membership of the network is by monthly subscription. The monthly subscription is taken automatically until you cancel your membership.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes, you can cancel your membership at any time, the contract is on a monthly basis. To cancel your membership, log into the membership area and cancel it directly from your account. Once you leave you will no longer be able to access the resources or receive discounts on courses or events. Should you wish to rejoin at any time you are welcome to, however any previous discount will be lost.
Is this approach just for violent teens?
This is one of the myths about NVR. It is often used in situations where there is violence but it’s a relationship based approach and works in all situations, not just parenting. If you want to build a strong relationship with your child and help them to develop emotional intelligence then NVR will without a doubt help.
The families you work with need you to be at your best. But you can't be at your best if you are poured out and unsupported.
